Will this setup play Bluray? Even if I don’t have a physical bluray drive?

If I have a bluray file in mkv format, will I be able to run it on my HDTV if I connect it from my laptop? I know you can, but I want to know if it will specifically work with this laptop: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.as…

and the HDTV is a Sony 32XBR6, which is a 32 inch LCD screen, with 1080 resolution but 60hz refresh rate.

I was looking to buy the laptop that I provided in the link, but I’m unsure if it’ll play bluray files onto my HDTV if it doesn’t have a bluray drive. It does have HDMI output, and can run HD movies.

So basically, I ONLY need a bluray drive in order to play PHYSICAL bluray discs, but I should be able to play all .mkv’s just fine on my laptop? For sure?

Acer 6920G Laptop – Will it play Bluray correctly?

I’m looking at getting a laptop and this one has caught my eye. I want it for playing Bluray DVDs.. I just want to check this will definitely play Bluray if I bought a Bluray DVD from a store?

I know it may make me sound a bit dumb seeing as it says Bluray but I know some people have been disappointed buying laptops that won’t play HD DVDs.

Can i backup bluray with my laptop?

I’m thinking about buying a external usb bluray disc reader for my laptop. My laptops graphics card can’t play bluray videos. With the external bluray drive, would i still be able to backup bluray discs using nero recode and save them to my hard drive? I plan on saving them to my playstation.
well i already have anydvd, but i only use it to remove the copyright. i use nero to make them 4gb to fit my ps3, im wondering if my laptop can support copying blurays.
